Unique Hand-crafted Cross
Hand-crafted by professional artist Linda Stewart. These gorgeous pieces features a small 2.5"x 1.25" wooden cross made from the same tree as our Lord's crown of thorns was, the olive wood tree, and is created in Bethlehem. No two are alike because each are inlaid with a piece of copper from the dome of the Cathedral Saint Paul when it was renovated back in 2002.
Rather than discarding these small remaining bits, the creator of these pieces placed them into a small cross. Symbol of our Christian Faith. The copper is sealed with a clear epoxy. Please note that each cross will vary in size/shape and the green color of the copper is due to the natural oxidation. This occurred over the many years exposure to the elements on the original 1915 dome of the Cathedral.
